C’mon Irene… You’re Not Welcome Here **Update**

As Hurricane Irene approaches the East Coast, there have been many cancellations to sporting events and transportation services. I was reading this morning on wavy.com that there are already power outages in North Carolina.

You can find a list of some of the sports/event cancellations here at cnn.com.

**Update: As the storm moves on from North Carolina this Saturday it is expected to touch along the New York , Boston, and Washington areas later this weekend. Click here for details from The New York Times.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected on the East Coast. Here’s hoping Irene decides to pull a U-Turn and find some where else to hang out. Our thoughts are also with the FanSided NHL writers @ Cardiac Cane (Carolina), Blue Line Station (NY Rangers), Eyes On Isles (NY Islanders), Pucks and Pitchforks (New Jersey), Causeway Crowd (Boston), and Capitals Outsider (Washington).
