Tragic Plane Crash Claims 43 Lives, Ex-NHLers

A Russian jet carrying members of the Lokomotiv hockey team from Yaroslavl crashed today. The plane was taking the KHL (Kontinetal Hockey League) team to Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

Information on the passengers lists the following ex-NHLers as being on the plane: Josef Vasicek, Pavol Demitra, Karel Rachunek, and coach Brad McCrimmon. The lone survivor is Lokomotiv forward Alexander Galimov, but he has serious injuries.
