It looks like I got my wish… at least as far as the first line is concerned.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’d love to see a top line of Couture-Thornton-Pavelski and a second unit of Clowe-Marleau-Havlat. Or even Mitchell-Marleau-Havlat, a blazing fast line which would leave a bruising, grinding line of Clowe-Handzus-McGinn as the third unit.
If this morning’s line combos are to be believed, I should get to see my choice for the top line in action when the puck drops against Nashville tonight.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m a little displeased seeing Havlat down on the third line… but the real concern should be if Havlat’s agent catches wind of his client’s new assignment…
