BoT Gameday: Oilers @ Sharks

facebooktwitterreddit

Well that was a nice comeback on Thursday night. The San Jose Sharks will try to build off that momentum as they host the struggling Edmonton Oilers tonight at the Shark Tank. Edmonton got out to a blazing start thanks to the kid line of Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, and early Calder favorite, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. They’ve come back down to earth, and they may not make it this year, but in the very near future, this Oilers squad could be VERY dangerous.

As for the Sharks, a much needed victory was obtained in a comeback variety on Thursday night. Despite giving up a goal in the first two power plays allowed, San Jose settled down and killed a penalty midway through the third. It was a part of a five minute span that saw Team Teal go from a 4-2 deficit, to an eventual 5-4 victory over Colorado.

The Sharks need to use that momentum and smart play against a young, fast Edmonton team hoping to regain it’s early season winning stretch.
