BoT Gameday: Sharks @ Ducks

If you were to look at the records, you would think the San Jose Sharks should have a victory tonight no problem. Ahhh but when three of those ten Ducks wins came from defeating Team Teal, well, you second guess an assured victory.

After coming off a momentum building 3-2 shootout win against the hated Canucks, the Sharks will try to ride high like the Monorail as they head to the Pond tonight. San Jose is 5-1-1 in their last seven games, with the only regulation loss coming at the hands of the Ducks.

For Anaheim, it has been a nightmare of a season. The team management didn’t do much in the offseason. The horrid start was blamed on head coach Randy Carlyle and he was fired in favor of Bruce Boudreau. With the team still struggling, rampant rumors began to cascade down like log riders on Splash Mountain. Reporters continue to speculate that one of Anaheim’s top four forwards is on the move, including top scorer, Teemu Selanne. A distraction for the Ducks, could be used in San Jose’s advantage.

Team Teal needs to get off to a great start and consistently stay hungry throughout the entire contest. A huge game for the standings as only two Western Conference teams play tonight. So this is one of the Sharks games in hand. A must win, in my opinion, not only standings wise, but confidence they can take down a potent team, despite it’s spot in the playoff race.

Will the Sharks be singing “It’s a Small World” or screaming from being in a Haunted Mansion? Find out at 7pm tonight.
