Happy Monday Blades of Teal Readers! First of all I wanted to thank Coach McLellan and Logan Couture for giving us Sharks fans a fun All Star Game and for sacrificing precious time off to continue to entertain NHL fans around the world! I for one always enjoy All Star Weekend and find it to be a great platform for fans from every team to come together and simply enjoy the camraderie that comes along with Hockey! That being said, it’s back to business for our boys in Teal this week and oh what a week it will be!
Tomorrow night the guys host the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Tank. Let’s hope we see a well-rested and re-energized group of Sharks out on the ice! A lot of people say “Don’t start worrying until February gets here…” Well, February is upon us this week and I for one, am hoping we will have nothing to worry about!
Thursday the guys travel to Texas for a tilt against Dallas, one of my all time favorite teams in the league to watch…also one of my all time favorite teams in the league to beat! Sometimes I really wish they had held on to Jamie Langenbrunner though, probably one of the best fitting players for Dallas in the history of the team. Another great “Star” to watch, the young Alex Goligoski!
Saturday night we’re back at home taking on BizNasty2point0 and the Phoenix Coyotes! I’m hoping Biz isn’t fully recovered from his All Star Weekend Vegas bender by that point…not that I’m super concerned about losing to Phoenix, but I’ll take any advantage we can get as we roll into critical February!
Other things of note around our Sharks: Goalie Alex Stalock on conditioning in the ECHL up Stockton way continues to improve and shows no signs of continued injury. The future is bright for this kid as long as he continues on an upward trend and avoids re-injury. Tonight the Sharks host their annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser for the Sharks Foundation! For $250 you too can sip some great wine for a good cause and rub elbows with the Sharks and various Sharks Commentators and Analysts!
