BoT Gameday: Sharks @ Predators

facebooktwitterreddit

San Jose finally got off it’s road schnide on Thursday night in Toronto, and hope to break even on this road trip. Tonight begins that process as the Sharks will take on the Predators in what many call Hockey Tonk USA.
WE INTERRUPT THIS BLADES OF TEAL GAMEDAY FOR AN IMPORTANT REPORT…

We now rejoin the Blades of Teal Gameday already in progress…

Sitting 2-4-1 on the current road trip, the team must keep focus to stay atop of the Pacific Division. The division race has become very tight. Only the Pacific and Southeast Divsions have races so close it will come down to the final week of the season. In both divisions, first and last place are separated by nine points. The Southeast perhaps only one team may get in, for the Pacific possibly four teams could get into the playoffs. Like the old saying on the side mirror on a car: objects in the mirror are closer than they appear.

Points are huge, there can no longer be any let up. Perhaps with very limited time off until the season is over, that might keep up the Sharks’ competitive juices. In fact, Team Teal’s remaining schedule has them playing four games against teams currently 13th place or worse in their conference. A big test, but every game matters. Forgive me for sounding cliche, however San Jose has 22 games left with a possibility of 44 points. At least 30 points might be needed to get into the postseason party let alone win the division and the #3 seed in the West.

Focus on the prize, let it drive you to your goal. LET’S PUCKING DO THIS!
