I Don’t Get It…

Last night was the first Sharks Playoff Game I have ever been to. I was really excited to be there and I felt like everyone else in the arena was as well! The game started off with a loud, intense, crowd…which faded and faded and faded as the Sharks lost the game goal over goal. The fade I can understand, but what I couldn’t understand was the fact that the arena emptied out alarmingly early!

I’ve been to games in the Tank before where people leave a couple of minutes early, but last night this place was clearing out with six minutes left on the clock! Ok, yeah its a weeknight, but seriously?! Number one its THE PLAYOFFS and number two, so much can happen in six minutes of hockey its unreal! The Sharks may not have been winning, but still, ITS THE PLAYOFFS and more importantly ITS HOCKEY! I fight for every second of live hockey I get to see, so to watch people walk out while there was still so much time on the clock made me kind of sad.

What do you all think? Do you think its good hockey etiquette to leave a game early? I can’t support that unless its an emergency. I see games as a commitment. If I’m going to pay that much money to see a game, I’m going to see the whole thing and make every cent count win or lose.

Thoughts? Opinions? Remarks? Any other hockey game etiquette things that grind your gears? Let’s hear it Sharks fans!
