BoT Gameday: Game 4 Blues @ Sharks

Two teaser goals late doesn’t cover the stink fest that was Game 3. San Jose can’t afford anymore stinker efforts in the postseason or else they won’t be one. Must win tonight.

Both teams had an extra day off to prepare. St. Louis is likely to dress the same lineup, while San Jose reportedly will have Brad Winchester and Michal Handzus in hopes to boost it’s even strength play. However, it’s San Jose’s special teams have been down right awful. The Blues have scored five of their nine goals in the series on the power play. That’s 5-for-13 for St. Louis on the man advantage in the three games. That must change. San Jose has continued to be stagnant on their man advantage. Overpassing and not getting shots on goal, instead looking for the pretty set up. It’s the playoffs, a goal is a goal even if it’s ugly.

Paging Patrick Marleau, Joe Pavelski, and Joe Thornton. The layoff between the regular season and the playoffs was over a week ago. Time to step up and show up in the postseason. If not, Jeremy Roenick won’t be the only one to criticize your leadership and scoring skills. The three combined have fewer goals (none) than Colin White, who scored to start the mini rally late in Game 3.

The Great Whiteout?! Ok, it’s usually a Phoenix and Winnipeg tradition, but the Sharks will be handing out white shirts for tomorrow’s game. Rock that tank in white. If there is a Game 6, perhaps we can do a tealout?

Huge game tonight. Win and the series is tied going back to St. Louis. Lose and you’re on the brink of ending your season earlier than many anticipated. LET’S PUCKING DO THIS!
