For today’s from the archives, I am only going to look back one year and be incredibly brief. On May 13, 2011 the hockey world lost a young talent when Derek Boogaard passed away. While the circumstances of his death were no less than controversial, his life remains one to be celebrated and reflected upon. Known as the Boogie Man, he was a worthy opponent to any and all enforcers playing the great sport of hockey and is greatly missed. Rest In Peace Boogie!
