BoT Roundtable – Jersey Wishlist

Every season I try to get tickets to fan appreciation night.  Not only is it always an entertaining contest, but the Sharks give away lots of prizes to fans in attendance.  For anyone who has gone, they know that the ultimate prizes are the jerseys handed out on ice after the game.  Since the staff has been working so hard on cranking out great content, I gave them this simple question this week:

If you could’ve won a jersey on fan appreciation night, who’s would you want?

Mike Ricci…To many he is still the face of the franchise and represents what the franchise should be. Tough, gritty, and an un-controllable hunger to win…

For current players I think you’d have to go with Thornton.  He’s the current captain, best player, potential hall of famer and just seems like a good dude overall.  Also, look no further than the Slappy ads to see his sense of humor.

Benny
D. Murray. For the simple reason that he plays with the kind of grit I like… I’d also put Smash underneath his name, because we all know his favorite move is MURRAY SMASH! The Hulk has nothing on him!

Burns. For the simple fact I’ve been a fan of his since his MN days. Now, if you had to base it just on this year’s performance…Thornton. I think he’s a hard worker and a guy who will be remembered one day as a solid leader in the NHL.

Not to start an on ice brawl, but I’d be willing to fight Benny and show Murray who deserves his jersey.  Whereas Couture is my favorite player, I already have his jersey and Dougie is a very close second.
