BoT Roundtable – Get Your Tickets!

Rivalries, hometown visitors, and friendly grudge matches; people have all sorts of reasons behind the games they attend.  To let you better stalk our writers this upcoming season, I asked them this:

Which matchups are you looking forward to the most next season?

Right now, it has to be any games against the Stars. Even as an old codger, watching Jagr in the West is going to be interesting.

Sharks vs Dallas, LA, Detroit, Minnesota, Chicago, Anaheim…

Amy
Sharks V. Minny and Sharks V. Detroit are always my two favorite match ups. I love feeling like a bi-polar maniac when Minny plays ours Sharks because I love both teams and I love being able to truly despise another team when we play Detroit.

The Wild games this year should be outstanding, despite the fact that their team’s name is just terrible.  Wild?  Seriously?  Be afraid, people, we are the great outdoors!  Awful.  I’m going to go off the board for my pick, though, and say the games that I look most forward to every season are the games versus the Preds.  There’s a rivalry that’s been brewing there for years and those games are always a little more gritty than the rest.

I’m excited for the Colorado and Dallas games, after their recent signings. And off course, I’ll be more than happy to troll Staples in my custom made Sharks hat and kicks.

Benny
Sharks vs. Wild for all the new signings. Sharks vs. Kings to see us topple the champs. Sharks vs. Islanders because I think it’s time.

Sharks v Detroit, LA, Dallas, Chicago are obviously games everyone looks forward to. But I’m also looking forward to watching how Minnesota plays with the new additions, how Nashville plays with the recent subtractions.
Also if Sidney Crosby plays at all this year, and if Alex Ovechkin can get back to his goal scoring ways.

I always look forward to Kings games, even more now that we get to knock them off their throne.  Other than that, the only games I need to get to are more time-of-the-season based, doesn’t really matter who we face.  And if someone offers me a ticket, usually I’ll take it off their hands because I just love being at the tank.
