Worcester assigns Russian Sniper Daniil Tarasov to San Francisco

In the offseason, Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas signed the All-USHL First Team forward Daniil Tarasov to a standard player AHL contract for the 2012-13 season. Previously Tarasov played two seasons with the USHL franchise the Indiana Ices.  With Indiana, he played a total of 117 games, while putting up 84 goals, 79 assists, and 132 PIM’s including a plus 65 rating.  He also possesses 11 playoff games at the USHL level with 7 goals, 9 assists, and 14 PIM’s at a plus 9.  Daniil Tarasov is entering his first season of professional hockey with Worcester with one AHL game to his credit.  This week San Jose Sharks AHL affiliate Worcester, assigned forward Daniil Tarasov to their ECHL affiliate the San Francisco Bulls.  Daniil Tarasov is 6 foot 195 pound native of Moscow, Russia.  Tarasov is the fifth  player from the Worcester Sharks prospect pool to be assigned to the Bulls, he joins goaltender’s Nelson, Heemsherk, forward Viedensky, and defenseman Tam.  Daniil models his game from Detroit Red Wings star forward Pavel Datsyuk.
