To the surprise of nobody, the mediators have failed the hopeful masses and the lockout continues.  The basic story coming out of the mediators is that there’s nothing they can do other than to remind the two parties what’s at stake every so often.

There are two things that are insanely frustrating here.  First, they needed a mediator to remind them of what’s at stake?  Egad.  Second, and more importantly, each side is so pigheaded that a rational third party can’t convince them to consider opinions other than their own.

Yeesh.

I was on an ebay auction for a jersey earlier today and the guy said he acquired the jersey from another hockey fan who was unloading all of his hockey gear.  I think a lot of other folks aren’t too far away.  In other exciting news, I just got a Thornton Davos jersey.  Also I’ve continued showing the Baby Boomers reruns so they think hockye could actually be happening right now.  So I have that going for me.

Stay strong, BOTers.  We will have hockey again…eventually.
