Today is day six of the 2013 IIHF World Juniors Championship and the last day of the 2012 calender year.  San Jose Sharks prospect Sean Kuarly and his fellow teammates enter into New Years Eve in a must win situation to keep their hopes alive against the Slovakian U20 National Team  in the preliminary round of Group B in the tournament.  The United States U20 team is ridding a two game loosing skid at the hands of both the Russian U20 and Canadian U20 teams.  In addition to their loosing skid, team USA has only scored two goals in the last two contest vs their eight goal outburst they demonstrated in their first game of the tournament against the Germans.  In their last game against their rivals, Sharks prospect Kuraly was scoreless as he current has one goal and one assist in the tournament with a plus three rating thru three games played.  Team USA will need to make a major statement today to continue their run in the 2013 World Juniors.  For the Slovakian’s, they also have played three games in the tournament with a 0-1-1-1 with three points.  Furthermore, Team Slovakia is coming off a 2-1 overtime victory over the Germans and much like the American’s they will also be fighting for their tournaments hopes.  The puck is set to drop at 5:30a US EST at the Ufa Arena in Ufa, Russia.  The contest will be available on the NHL Network in the United States and will also be available worldwide on the NHL’s official website.

Scouting Report for San Jose Sharks prospect Sean Kuraly: Kuraly is a two-way centerman who can play both ends of the rink and has good vision to be a playmaker. The big centerman excels at the penalty kill and has a good hockey IQ to read and react quickly to the play. He needs to continue improving his two-way game while using his offensive flair more often and play with more physicality down low in both zones.

Good luck today Sean Kuraly and Team USA!!!!!!!
