Saturday Night Hockey: San Francisco Bulls Vs. Stockton Thunder

Tonight the San Francisco Bulls hosts the Stockton Thunder as they continue their weekend series against their division rivals.  Last night San Francisco played the Thunder in Stockton for the first time this season.  The Bulls were defeated in that contest by Stockton 5-2.  Furthermore, San Francisco will need to put the lose quickly behind them.  As of today the Bulls maintain their season series on the Thunder by 3-2 with tonights matchup making it the sixth of 13 meetings.

Newly acquired forward Rylan Galiardi registered his first two points with the franchise.  His first was recorded when Peter Sivak scored on the power play in the first period and then the second was on Dean Ouellet’s goal in the middle frame.

***San Francisco’s Scott Langdon returns to the lineup tonight after serving his two-game suspension for an illegal hit to the head against Idaho’s Mathieu Tousignant last Thursday. Langdon leads the team in plus/minus with +13.  Rob Kwiet continues to perform well after the departure of Sacha Guimond, notching another assist tonight, giving him 17 on the season.

Stockton remains in fourth place in the Western Division with 49 points, just four points behind the Idaho Steelheads. San Francisco remains in eighth place with 31 points, six points ahead of last place Bakersfield.***
