Tonight the Worcester Sharks welcome the Adirondack Phantoms into town for the first time of the season.  The Phantoms are the proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.  These two clubs last saw each other in the 2011-2012 AHL season in which the Phantoms defeated the Worcester Sharks in both of only two meetings.  Adirondack defeated the Sharks 4-1 in their first meeting on March 11, 2012 and then again on April 14, 2012 3-2.  The Phantoms have won 3 of their last 5 games, while Worcester has lost 4 in a row.

Currently Adirondack is in last place in the AHL’s Northeast Division with a 15-19-1-1 record thru 36 games played on the season which includes 32 points to their credit.  In addition, The Phantoms are positioned in last place overall in the Eastern Conference with 0.444 winning percentage.  For the Sharks, they are still in second place of the Atlantic Division with a 19-16-1-3 record which includes a 0.538 winning percentage and 42 points on the season.  Furthermore, Worcester maintains their fifth seed spot in the East.
