SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. Taylor Nelson made 34 saves, and Marek Viedensky scored the game-winning goal to power the San Francisco Bulls (18-23-1-6) to victory over the visiting Bakersfield Condors (14-34-2-3) 3-1, Saturday night at the Cow Palace. Jordan Morrison added a goal, and Rob Kwiet had two points on San Jose Sharks-Themed Specialty Jersey Night.

The two teams skated to a scoreless first period. The Bulls were out-shot 17-12, but were two for two on the penalty kill. Nelson came up huge on the second penalty kill robbing the Condors on a point blank opportunity.

The Bulls broke through, and scored the first goal of the game at 8:22 of the second period. With Eric Burgdoerfer and Scott Enders off for minor penalties, Kwiet scored his eighth goal of the season on the two-man advantage. Kwiet’s bullet from the top of the left circle was perfectly placed, and beat goaltender Brian Stewart. Christian Ouellet and Cody Carlson picked up the assists on the power-play goal.

San Francisco doubled their lead to 2-0 at 2:45 of the third period. After returning from injury last night in Ontario, Viedensky returned to the goal-scoring column with his eighth goal of the season. Viedensky followed up the initial shot by Kwiet, and finished the play for the goal. The Condors showed they had some fight in them though when they scored at 5:39 to bring the score to 2-1. Sustained offensive pressure by the Condors led to a tap in goal for Jake Morley. Brett Perlini and Jacob Lagace assisted on Morley’s first goal of the season. The Bulls regained their two-goal lead at 9:26 of the third period when Morrison scored his 13th goal of the season. A low cycle by Kris Belan and Jordan Clendenning led to a wide-open Morrison who made no mistake, and fired it past Stewart.

The Bulls continue the two-game series against Bakersfield tomorrow at 2:15 pm. San Francisco will once again be wearing Specialty San Jose Sharks-Themed Teal Jerseys. These commemorative jerseys will be raffled and auctioned off, during the game. All fans in attendance will also receive a poster featuring Bulls players wearing the teal jerseys, courtesy of stayingahead.com. Get your tickets now at SFBulls.com
