Every day the San Jose Sharks hope to get Dan Boyle back from injury. While he’s making good progress and is traveling with the team, he won’t be available when the Sharks take on the Ottawa Senators tonight. The hope was that Boyle would be able to make an appearance and play for San Jose during the team’s current five-game road trip.

The Sharks won’t play again until Wednesday night when they take on the Los Angeles Kings before returning home. Could Boyle be good to go by then? The time table is unclear and unspecific, but Boyle won’t play against the Sens.

Boyle can take him time returning though. While San Jose isn’t scoring four goals a game right now, they’re still finding ways to win. They managed to shut out the Montreal Canadiens last night, but might have their hands full with a rested and potentially dangerous Senators club.

Ottawa dropped a tough 2-1 decision to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night, and with a day off to prepare for the Sharks, they’ll likely come out flying while trying to make a statement against one of the better teams int he league right now.
