Thursday, November 7: Vancouver Canucks

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

This game stands in stark contrast to the one against the Buffalo Sabres. Two teams at two opposite sides of the spectrum. Where Buffalo can’t buy a win, Vancouver has responded marvelously to new head coach John Tortorella. It seems like all Vancouver needed to reach the next level was a little elbow grease, and this team has won five of its last six as of November 3.

Roberto Luongo is slowly regaining his elite form and the Sedin Twins have taken their cycle game up a notch. This team buzzes around the front of the net and never quits on plays. They are also in the Atlantic Division, so this contest could have a playoff-like atmosphere as the squads joust for the all important “four-point” victory.
