The San Jose Sharks will take on the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow night, and arguably their best player this season has been Evander Kane. He has six goals and four assists thought 16 games played, yet Kane seems to be knocking on the door of a breakout of sorts. Only two players in the NHL have fired the puck more than he has, and the Jets are coming off of an impressive 5-0 whitewashing of the Nashville Predators.

The official site of the Jet spoke to Kane about what it will take to defeat the Sharks, and he had some interesting things to say heading into the matchup.

To be honest, his quick breakdown of San Jose is pretty much spot on. The Sharks are clearly deep down the middle, and if Winnipeg is going to run into trouble against the boys in teal it’ll likely be in that department. Bryan Little, Olli Jokinen and the rest of the Jets centermen will have their hands full with Joe Thornton, Logan Couture and Joe Pavelski.

Kane spoke about the Jets needing to be consistent against the Sharks, and teammate Eric Tangradi echoed that sentiment.

The Sharks will be looking to break a four-game losing streak in Winnipeg and will likely come out flying. Still, the Jets have several talented forwards and posses some blueliners that can do some damage from the back end. No game is a given at this point and every point is important in the Pacific.
