On Friday, San Jose Sharks Head Coach Todd McLellan announced that Martin Havlat will be out with a lower body injury. Havlat did not make the trip to Glendale, Arizona, where the Sharks will be playing against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight. When asked by CSNCalifornia.com’s Kevin Kurz when the injury exactly happened, Todd McLellan responded saying:

"Somewhere throughout the day, I guess. He didn’t play last game and won’t play tonight. We didn’t bring him on the trip, so we won’t get a true evaluation until we get back tomorrow."

The Sharks right winger has 3 goals and five assists in 22 games. Havlat missed the first 12 games of the season recovering from offseason pelvic surgery.
