The Numbers

During the 2013-14 regular season, Marc-Edouard Vlasic scored five times and notched 19 assists, totaling 24 points. He finished in the top 10 in the plus-minus category with a +31.

The Good

He plays his role as a defenseman well, and has elevated his game since the Winter Olympics in Sochi earlier this year. His performance during the Winter Olympics while he was on Team Canada earned him national attention from the National Hockey League as an elite defenseman. While he’s gifted defensively, his 19 assists also shows he’s a team player offensively.

The Bad

Like the others on Team Teal, the first round series against the Los Angeles Kings is one he would love to just put behind. He had only put the puck in the back of the net once and notched two assists in the five games he played in the seven-game series. He finished the series with a plus-minus rating of zero.

Best Moments

The best moment of him for me has got to be his appearance in the Sharks Christmas Holiday video. Besides, who doesn’t love that video?
