The San Jose Sharks Foundation gave a grant of $25,000 to the Turning Wheels for Kids, an organization that builds bikes and donates them to kids who need them.
Volunteers from the Sharks organization came together at Sharks Ice to help build 50 bikes. A total of 225 bikes will be built with all the proceeds from the Sharks. Turning Wheels for Kids felt that getting people involved in the actual bike building process and the giving away of the bikes would help everyone see exactly what goes on behind the scenes. Not to mention being the one to cause a child’s face to light up when receiving one of the gifts. Christmas came early for many!
Of course Sharkie was there helping, as well as riding the completed bikes.

It’s great to see what the Sharks Foundation does around the community and that this amazing organization really does give back to its community.
