Tomas Hertl’s first season in the NHL gave Sharks fans a glimpse of what he could become. Though he appeared in only 37 games due to injury, he put up 25 points (15G, 10A) in that time. When most Sharks fans think of Hertl they remember his outstanding 4 goal performance against the New York Rangers. However we must also remember that of the 37 games Hertl appeared in for the Sharks, he failed to appear on the score sheet for 18 of them. 19 if you count the 5 minutes and 14 seconds of ice time he had before he was injured playing against the Kings. This is a player with a tremendous upside when he’s playing his game, but he needs to be more consistent if he’s going to become the point per game star the Sharks are hoping for. Now lets take a look at what to expect in 2014-2015.
