The San Jose Sharks finally lost. Their 8 game winning streak is over and tonight they truly went out with a bang. I has the pleasure of attending the game against the Los Angeles Kings tonight, and let me tell you, NEVER in my life have I witnessed such pitiful hockey.
I like everyone else knows that eventually all good things come to an end. But to get blown out AT HOME to the LA Kings 6-2 is a disgrace.
The Sharks actually looked like the stronger team for the first half of the first period. But then, something happened. What you ask? I have absolutely no clue. Frankly I don’t really care. I just hope Nabby never lets in 5 goals over a 21 minute span ever again in his life.
The sad thing is the Kings registered only 20 shots on goal all night, but whenever they did shoot, the puck ended up in the back of the net. The Sharks scored twice in the third period (AFTER I LEFT) and registered 47 on goal.
I will not be awarding three stars of the game.
I will not be posting video highlights.
I will not go into elaborate details about what happened.
I will tell you however, that hopefully this is just a bad game and nothing more. I am angry, but I am realistic when I say that stuff happens. Nabby has been spectacular all season and bad games happen, but please San Jose, don’t give up six goals to the Kings ever again. Anze Kopitar looked like Wayne Gretzky tonight, and that hurts my heart to even say that.
Look for a rebound game against the Blues on Wednesday……….At least I hope they rebound.
