Weekend Wrap: Seto Busts out of Slump

Saturday’s game against Edmonton is hopefully where Devin Setoguchi turns his season around. The 23 year old right winger notched two goals against the Oilers, giving him 12 total for the season to go along with 5 assists.

Last season was Seto’s first full year in the NHL. Paired with Jumbo Joe, he tallied 31 goals and 65 points for a very nice campaign. This season has been a little different. Setoguchi has battled through some minor injuries and with the addition of Dany Heatley, he was dropped down off Jumbo’s line.

His production has been down when he has been in the lineup this season but hopefully this is the start of the healthy, speedy, goal scoring Setoguchi we became accustomed to last year. His two goals Saturday night marked Devin’s first points in 2010. Let’s hope that Devin’s improved play carries on and hopefully carries through to the rest of the Sharks.

The Sharks were victorious on Saturday night 4-2 over Edmonton.
The Sharks have 4 games this upcoming week including a back to back stretch on Monday and Tuesday against the Flames and Kings respectively.
