First Round Playoff Prediciton

The opening round series versus the Avalanche is either going to go one of three ways in my opinion…

1.The Sharks are going to come out of the gates with a fire and determination that we have not seen before in the playoffs, rolling the Avalanche in four or five games. That is the best case scenario.

2.The second best scenario……….The Sharks play good hockey, but like usual, Evgeni Nabokov finds a way to give the Avalanche a game, or two, or hopefully not three. It happens every playoffs, so I expect it again, and hopefully if it does happen, it is in round one, and not too often.

3.Worst case scenario……….The Avalanche come out of the woodshed with nothing to lose. This is a young team with no knowledge of what it really means to play in the playoffs. They could be so blind to the severity and pressure of the playoffs that it never hits them and they could play some great hockey like they did in the beginning of the season and somehow find a way to defeat the Sharks.

I am hoping for either one or two, like all Sharks fans are. If number three happens, you can put me on suicide watch with every other Sharks fan. Or at least on the waiting list for re-location of my fan-hood.
