BoT Gameday: Game 2 Sharks @ Blues

Game 1 to the Sharks, but can they steal another on the road? Philadelphia and Los Angeles already shocked their top seeds. A split is nice, but up 2-0 would be huge. However, San Jose better get their act together, it won’t be easy.

San Jose got outworked in overtime and their tired legs showed once again early in the third. This team needs to have better conditioning and stamina the rest of the way. It can’t afford to let up at all, especially to the St. Louis Blues.

Antti Niemi was amazing with 40 saves and he’ll be depended on once again to keep it up. Jaroslav Halak also played well, but the Sharks will have to keep peppering scoring chances at him and try to grab rebounds and second chances… something the St. Louis defense is great at preventing.

Martin Havlat was brought in based on his past playoff success. While he took a stupid tripping call that led to St. Louis’ first goal of the series, he also had two goals, including the game winner in double overtime.

Marty, Clowe, Couture, and the rest of the Sharks need to re-light that fire inside. St. Louis will be coming. LET’S PUCKING DO THIS!!!
