BoT Roundtable – Forward Thinking
By Editorial Staff
One more round of fantasy line-maker with the players available. This time, I moved things a bit forward for our writers:
Who do you think should be the top offensive line this season?
Joe
With the current top six, I still think Couture-Thornton-Pavelski is the way to go, although I’d be interested in seeing Havlat take a crack at the 1st line sometime during the season.
Darryl
Couture-Thornton-Pavelski
Mike
I like Couture-Thoronton-Clowe. Clowe can add some good toughness and should give the other 2 some space to score.
Andy
Thornton, Pavs, Havlat. Which sets up a pretty sexy second line of Marleau, Couture, and Clowe.
Amy
Couture, Thornton, Pavs…. Although I hesitate with Thornton….I think he’s gonna fade a bit more this season. Sorry guys, had to say it.
Erik
It’s likely Couture – Thornton – Marleau Thornton and Marleau have to step up production or else.
Gordon
Well if we hadn’t lost him, I would’ve said Mitchell-Couture-Clowe. I’d have to agree with Mike since I can’t think of anyone else that would better pair up with Logan and Ryane. I don’t think Marleau should be on the top line because he’d be better bolstering the lower lines, and Thornton is a wild card: he’s good only when he’s good, otherwise we just get behind the back no look turnovers from him all game.
