Thornton Predicts Lockout To Last All Season

Joe Thornton

Great find from the guys over at Puck Daddy: In an interview with Berner Zeitung, Sharks Captain Joe Thornton was interviewed.  The article is mostly a puff piece, with Thornton talking about how Davos is a second home, how nice it is there, and how the last lockout provided him one of the best years of his career (ed: thanks to Google Translator for providing some lay of the land).

However, the final quote in the article is also its most telling; Thornton states he’s now expecting to play the full season in Switzerland.  Yowza.

Kind of leads me into our second topic of the post, finding alternative sources for your hockey…

San Francisco Bulls

Quick reminder: if you don’t have your tickets yet, the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL play their first game in franchise history tonight at the Cow Palace.  Tickets are still available.  The Blueline Boomer, one of the Junior Boomers and Mrs. Boomer’s Dad will also be there.  Tweet me if you’re around and we can meet up in between periods.  Follow all the action on the top notch Fearless in the Fog blog or by following Amy Snow or the Bulls themselves on twitter.
