San Jose Signs Swedish Winger Petter Emanuelsson

San Jose, CA–General Manager and Vice President Doug Wilson have signed young Swedish born winger Petter Emanuelsson to a two year entry level contract.  As per team policy, the financials were not disclosed.

Emanuelsson, 21, has spent the majority of the past two seasons playing for Skelleftea of the Swedish Elite League. Last season with Skelleftea he posted 18 points (9-9=18) and a +9 rating in 54 games. He added eight points (6-2=8) and a +8 rating in 13 playoff games.

In 2011-12, Emanuelsson split the season between Skelleftea Elite (one goal in 17 games), Skelleftea J20 (five points [3-2=5] in six games) and Pitea HC (25 points [16-9=25] in 27 games).

In 2010-11, he notched 49 points (21-28=49) in 40 games with Skelleftea J20.

The six-foot, 207-pound native of Kiruna, Sweden plays both left and right wing.
