When Sharks’ GM Doug Wilson gave up their second-round draft pick of 2013 for Tyler Kennedy from the Pittsburgh Penguins, he expected the forward to continue firing on the opposing goalie and bolster up the Sharks’ offense. With little to show in his first season in San Jose, time for him to find a place to fit on the roster may be running out.
2013-14 Season Review
Tyler Kennedy is coming into his last year of his contract, but based on what we saw last season it’s also high potential for trade bait. In the 67 games he played during the 82-game season, he barely showed up on the score sheet only tallying 4 goals and 13 assists for a total of 17 points with a -10 rating.
2014-15 Season Prediction
Tyler Kennedy will continue struggling to find the right fit due to his inability to make a difference offensively. He may see less time on ice and sit out more games. Only time will tell if Wilson decides to move him.
