Too busy enjoying one of the first weekends of summer? Perhaps you were taking in the Golden State Warriors and the NBA Finals? No problem, take a look at some of the San Jose Sharks news from this past weekend:

– The Sharks ECHL development affiliate, the Allen Americans, took home the Kelly Cup with a resounding 6-1 victory in Game 7 last night over the South Carolina Stingrays. The Americans scored six straight goals to open the game, taking home their third straight victory as a franchise, but first Kelly Cup title.

– New San Jose head coach Peter DeBoer has been fairly quiet since being introduced as the Sharks eighth head coach in franchise history; however, he shared some interesting thoughts with Sportnet’s Elliotte Friedman. You can read about what DeBoer had to say here.

– Matt Tennyson had an up-and-down season with the Sharks, making a career-high 27 appearances with San Jose during the 2014-15 season. However, Tennyson was sent down in mid-February and never was able to make it back to San Jose and spent the rest of the season in Worcester. Take a look back at Tennyson’s 2014-15 season in his season review.

– Finally, the NHL Draft is almost here so that means it’s mock draft time. Here’s a peak at a couple of prospects the Sharks could be targeting with the first round selection at number nine.
