Injuries/Scratches
Sharks: Raffi Torres (suspension) and Logan Couture (broken right fibula) are out. Joonas Donskoi (lower body) is questionable.
Devils: Patrik Elias (knee) and Tuomo Ruutu (undisclosed) are out.
Keys to the Game
1) Five-Man Unit
With Couture out, it’s going to be hard to replace him. That makes it even more important to play together. The Sharks are just going to have to try their best to play as a five-man support system. A big part of that means keeping it simple and helping each other out.
2) Take Advantage
It’s early in the season, but the Sharks have gone off to a great start, with a record of 3-0-0 in their first three games of the season. As for the Devils, not so much. They are winless in their first three, having allowed 11 goals. The Devils are obviously going to be hungry for their first win, so it’s up the Sharks to take advantage and seize the opportunity to keep a steady hold in the top 3 of the Pacific Division and Western Conference.
