– Two nights later, the Sharks were in the hockey capital of the world as they squared off against Mike Babcock and the new look Toronto Maple Leafs. But the Sharks would battle back with goals from Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Matt Nieto to send the game to overtime, before Brent Burns ended things with a perfectly placed snap shot.

– Seeking their third straight win to open the trip, San Jose headed to the Canadian capital city where the Ottawa Senators placed host. After an evenly played game for two-and-a-half periods, the Senators broke things open with three goals in the third to secure a 4-2 win over the Sharks.

– With their road trip wrapping up, San Jose faces a big test against Los Angeles as the Sharks look to gain ground on the division-leading Kings in their final game before the Christmas break.
