Joe Pavelski is in the final of the EA Sports NHL 17 Cover Vote as he looks to become the first Sharks player ever to grace the cover of the video game.

Last night, the San Jose Sharks put up an incredible team performance to oust the Nashville Predators in seven games.

With the 4-3 series win, the boys in teal move on to the Western Conference Final to face the St. Louis Blues.

However, that’s not the only battle going on between the two teams. As you all are aware of now, unless you don’t own a social media account, EA Sports is hosting a cover vote this year for their new NHL 17 video game, and right now the team’s very own captain Joe Pavelski is up against the Blues’ Vladimir Tarasenko in the final round.

I know. I know. You’re probably sick and tired of all the hashtag spam that’s filled your timelines for the past several days, but this is important.

Pavelski has already defeated Anze Kopitar in round one and took down the rookie phenom Connor McDavid in round two. Now, he’s got his sights on Tarasenko both on and off the ice as he looks to win the cover and take the Sharks to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time.

If you need any reason to vote for Captain America, then check out what he’s done this far in the playoffs.

Pavelski’s nine playoff goals in 12 games ties him with Tyler Johnson of the Lightning for the top spot in these playoffs. Of those nine tallies, three have been game-winning goals including the opening tally in a 5-0 thrashing of Nashville.

His 13 points rank third on the Sharks during this postseason run, and he’s tied for fourth in the league with none other than Tarasenko as the two will get reacquainted with one another on Sunday night.
