San Jose Sharks host the Vegas Golden Knights in a Monday Matinee from the Shark Tank
The last time the San Jose Sharks took to the ice, they were unable to overcome the Columbus Blue Jackets as a final minute, losing in regulation in a heartbreaking fashion. Now, the Sharks will be looking to get back to winning ways as they host the Vegas Golden Knights. This Knights roster will be coming in annoyed after losing to the Carolina Hurricanes in their last game. With the injuries the Sharks have, this could be a long night.
After Kaapo Kahkonen had a somewhat leaky appearance last time out, the Sharks are going to be turning to Mackenzie Blackwood to try and hold this Golden Knights roster at bay. He was the netminder that backstopped the Shark's previous victory in Calgary, and the team in teal will be hoping for a similar result tonight. A win would move the Sharks a long way away from the bottom of the standings, which will be good for confidence but bad for those who want Macklin Celebrini.
These two teams have had a heated rivalry since the 2019 playoffs when Jonathan Marchessault was given a five-minute major for what he did to Joe Pavelski. Since then, these two franchises have had quite the blood feud, with Marchessault himself thinking that the series was stolen from the Golden Knights while the Sharks believe that he wronged their player. It's been a long time since this happened, but the memories live on.

Puck Drop
This will be a 1. p.m puck drop from the Shark Tank as these two squads renew hostilities. It'd be quite the interesting situation to see the two teams renew their hatred. Vegas need the points to stay in the playoffs and divisional hunt while the Sharks are just looking to try and build the confidence of their young players. The two teams will be going tooth and nail at it in a few hours.
