San Jose Sharks start road trip in Texas against the Dallas Stars
Recent results have not gone the way the San Jose Sharks would have wanted them to. Just two points in the entire month of February leaves the boys in teal with just 35 points so far on the season, which is joint last with the Chicago Blackhawks. As we are all waiting for the trade deadline in a couple of days, this is the time for the Sharks to show off the talents they will be looking to move on from at the trade deadline this year.
Ty Emberson left the game against the Anaheim Ducks early with an injury. With said injury, the rookie defenseman was a doubt about being on the trip. Emberson has been such a strong defender for the Sharks and his absence would be huge for the game tonight. He could be replaced by Marc-Edouard Vlasic whose been out with an upper-body injury. He was a game time decision for the Ducks game, so he should be okay tonight.
San Jose's two star players are both making progress towards a return. Logan Couture is starting to get back into the flow of things with his groin issues, and Tomas Hertl's recovery is still progressing. Neither are expected to play anytime soon, but it is good to hear that the Sharks two best players are getting closer to being healthy at some point.

This will be a 5 p.m. puck drop from the Lone Star state. This is the organization that technically holds the records of the California Golden Seals, so this will be a battle against the Sharks ancestors. Showing off trade bait is the important thing today.
