It's the San Jose Sharks' final gameday of 2024. It's been a long and challenging year for Team Teal, and the Sharks will be looking to snap a seven-game winless skid against the Philadelphia Flyers today in a matinee from the Shark Tank. A great way to end the year is for the Sharks' hockey to go into a New Year's Eve party, so let us hope the Sharks can give us the win we would all like to go into 2025 with.
Three Sharks will not be on the ice tonight as Jake Walman, William Eklund, and Carl Grundstrom continue to fight back injuries. It means the Sharks are still light heading into this matinee. Still, they will not be looking for excuses; instead, they hope their depth can help nullify the effect of the injuries on the roster and still fight to collect the two points against this Eastern Conference opponent.
The revamped lines at practice yesterday saw many changes as the Sharks look for more offense. We'll see if these lines can bring the Sharks a win, but it is clear that Ryan Warsofsky is trying everything to find the spark that will get the San Jose Sharks going once again. When he sees it, there will be another period of joy for the fans of Team Teal, but he's got to get the right balance among his group.

Puck Drop
Tonight's game is a 5 p.m. puck drop from the Shark Tank as the Sharks look to pick up two points. It's not as early as a traditional matinee due to the winter classic in Chicago today, but the Sharks will be looking to win regardless of the starting time. The weird start might knock both teams out of routine and affect the play early, but it should be an entertaining watch regardless.
