Your San Jose Sharks start a grueling back-to-back tonight in Detroit. Despite being robbed of the Macklin Celebrini vs Connor Bedard matchup we all wanted to see due to Celebrini's hip injury, this Sharks team will still get a test against an opponent that will provide both hurdles and a chance to win if the Sharks can play as they did in the first game of this road trip. It's another chance for the Sharks first win of the year.

Chicago is in the midst of its own rebuild right now. With the talents of Connor Bedard, that organization is hopeful of a quick return to the postseason before everything gets too bad. They have a lot of young talent on that roster, but they are still an organization that is looking for high draft picks, and they could be a hockey club that the Sharks can beat for their first win of the year.

A lot has been made of Will Smith's sluggish start to his NHL career. Three games in, and he has yet to grab his first point. In the absence of Celebrini, a lot of unfair pressure has been put on Smith, but he's struggled. He'll be looking to correct that tonight in the Windy City as the Sharks as a team push for the first win of the season for the team in teal.

Puck Drop

Tonight's game will start at 5 p.m. Pacific from the United Center. While it will not be Bedard against Celebrini, this sensational young Sharks roster will still be looking to grab two points for the first time this season. San Jose has shown a lot of fight, with some very talented teams being the opposition for the young Sharks, but this game is there for the taking.
