After a thumping victory over the Los Angeles Kings, the San Jose Sharks will turn their attention to their newest opponent as the Ottawa Senators fly into town for tonight's game. San Jose got to enjoy a sparkling display from their star rookie Macklin Celebrini against the Kings, but it'll be a lot more complicated tonight as the Senators try to shut down the good feeling that the Sharks are enjoying.
This Senators roster is inconsistent. They're capable of both destroying teams and destroying themselves. They're one of the most difficult teams to predict because they are ultimately unpredictable. San Jose needs to put this Senators roster under the same pressure as they put the Kings under, and they will get similar results. San Jose can continue to press the issue against a team that's struggled for confidence in the last couple of seasons.
Yaroslav Askarov nabbed the win last time Team Teal played, but he was reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda. Jack Thompson was recalled from the minors and could get back into the lineup tonight. We also expect Mikael Granlund, who missed the last game with an injury, to remain out for tonight's clash. It's never easy to see your top scorer sidelines, but that is the reality of the situation for the Sharks.

Puck Drop
Tonight's game is a 7:30 pm puck drop as the Sharks look to continue their good form against the Los Angeles Kings. If the Sharks can get the two points tonight an build on a good run of results ahead of the Thanksgiving schedule with the pending home and home, they could put themselves in a position to do something incredible. Dare I say there could be delusions of a playoff place?
