San Jose Sharks Travel to Madison Square Garden to Take On the New York Rangers
The San Jose Sharks took three points from four available back-to-back against the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers. They look to continue picking up points as they take on the New York Rangers tonight. The Rangers lost their last game against the Winnipeg Jets and are struggling a little now. There's a chance for the Sharks to jump and continue their struggles.
For the Sharks, Macklin Celebrini must return to finding his end product. He's not had a truly awful game in his short NHL career. Under the bright lights of Broadway, the young center has a chance to show himself as one of the keys to the Sharks' future. If he can dominate tonight against an outstanding Rangers roster, the Sharks can rest easy knowing they have a budding young star on their hands.
Mackenzie Blackwood is set to return to the net tonight for the Sharks. In his last game, he set the record for the most saves ever recorded in a shutout by a San Jose netminder. It'll be a special night for him to follow up on that effort. Today, Barclay Goodrow and Alex Wennberg will return to MSG, where they ended last season. We'll see if the Sharks forwards can make the Blueshirts pay.

Puck Drop
San Jose will begin this game at 4 p.m. Eastern as they look to make it a 6-2-1 record in their last nine games. The New York Rangers can be susceptible to a stinker against teams they don't consider an immediate threat. Can the Sharks exploit that and pick up another two points to continue a strong bounce-back after another shambolic start?
