Well, the wait is finally over. There will be actual hockey tonight as the San Jose Sharks kick off their preseason schedule against the Vancouver Canucks. Training camp has commenced and there has been plenty of news and notes emerging as the Sharks prepare for the upcoming 2015-16 season.

With that in mind, here’s the latest San Jose Sharks weekly roundup detailing all the news from the past week:

– Training camp kicked off on Friday, Sept. 18 as the San Jose Sharks had 55 players on hand to participate in head coach Peter DeBoer’s first practice in charge. With DeBoer at the helm, the Sharks are getting a much needed fresh start after a disastrous 2014-15 season.

– Take a look at how the San Jose Sharks lines looked on the first day of camp, and any potential implications that could have for the upcoming season. Hint…they look much better than last season.
