2013-14 Season Review
Burish is currently signed through the 2015-16 season, however rarely saw the ice during the 2013-14 season due to two major injuries. First, he suffered a back injury which required surgery during the first preseason game. Once he was able to return to the ice, he blocked a shot on goal with his hand, which broke two fingers. He then underwent another surgery to fix the broken fingers, placing two pins in his hands and officially sidelining him the remainder of the season.
Burish played in a total of 15 games and recorded zero points. Needless to say, a terrible season for the right winger.
2014-15 Prediction
Due to the lack of time on ice and the lackluster play when actually healthy, Burish will have a hard time proving he is worthy of a permanent roster spot. Not to mention the teams goal of going with younger players moving forward. The 31 year old doesn’t fit into this category and thus may be sidelined more often than not.
