Ray Sheppard had a long NHL career where he bounced around from team to team. Only spending one year with the San Jose Sharks, it was a very good year. Sheppard played 51 games with the Sharks in the 1995-1996 season and he ended up with a total of 46 points, including 27 goals. However, despite the great year Sheppard had, the Sharks were not a playoff team and decided to use his great season as trade bait. The Sharks received a 2nd round and 4th round pick for sending him to the Florida Panthers. His career in San Jose did not even last a full year, but due to lack of other options, Ray Sheppard is the greatest San Jose Shark to wear the number 26.
Every day I write these articles it reminds me that even though the season is only 26 days away, that is a very long way away. Try to hang in there, guys. It’ll be hockey season soon.
