Mike Ricci spent 7 years with the San Jose Sharks and he was the definition of a two way forward for the team. He spent year in and year out putting up good point totals, while also being a smart defensive hockey player. In addition, he finished in the top 25 in Selke voting 4 times during his 7 year period with the Sharks. The highest number of points he put up with the Sharks was 53, which is a good amount for a depth forward, but Mike Ricci was much more known for his defensive ability as a forward than his scoring prowess. Mike Ricci is now a development coach for the San Jose Sharks and if he can teach them about anything, it’s durability. He holds the San Jose Sharks record for most consecutive games played with 228.
