Back in net tonight is Alex Stalock who hasn’t played since October 25 against the Buffalo Sabres. This will be his fifth start of the season. With a 2.22 goals-against average and .924 save percentage, Stalock still only has one win.
“A save here and a save there, that makes a difference every night,” said Stalock. “Now, it’s time to make the saves you’re supposed to make.” I’m sure he’s eager to get past the last few losses, especially the 4-0 loss against the New York Rangers mid October. It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Stalock and love to see him get his time on the ice.
Coach Todd McLellan is confident that Stalock is ready to start tonight. “He’ll be very capable of playing. He has to be ready at any given moment just like Niemi does,” McLellan said.
Come on Stalock… let’s show Texas exactly what you’re made of!
