The San Jose Sharks will be regulars on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) during the upcoming 2015-16 season. It was announced earlier today that the Sharks will make a total of 11 appearances nationally on NBCSN, including their opening game for the second consecutive year against the Los Angeles Kings.

In fact, three of San Jose’s five matchups against Los Angeles will be televised nationally on NBCSN as the league looks to capitalize on the budding rivalry between the two teams. The Sharks will be part of a doubleheader on Oct. 7 to kick off the new NHL season as they will follow the Chicago Blackhawks against the New York Rangers. San Jose will square off against eight Western Conference opponents and three Eastern Conference opponents next season on NBCSN.
Those matchups are:
– Los Angeles Kings (Oct. 7, Dec. 22 and March 28)
– Nashville Predators (Oct. 28)
– Chicago Blackhawks (Nov. 25)
– Pittsburgh Penguins (Dec. 1)
– Philadelphia Flyers (Dec. 30)
– Colorado Avalanche (Jan 26., Feb. 24)
– St. Louis Blues (Feb. 22)
– Boston Bruins (March 15)
San Jose’s 11 national appearances are down slightly from last season when the Sharks appeared 13 times. That’s not a surprise as San Jose struggled to the finish in missing the postseason for the first time in 11 seasons.
Also, the Sharks will make four appearances on Hockey Night in Canada – Nov. 28 vs. Calgary, Jan. 2 vs. Winnipeg, Jan. 9 vs. Toronto and March 5 vs. Vancouver.
The Comcast Sportsnet California full broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
