San Jose Sharks Announce Training Camp Roster
San Jose Sharks hockey is almost back and the start of training camp is just around the bend. Earlier today, the Sharks released their schedule and full training camp roster as they begin preparations for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
The San Jose Sharks will kick off training camp with all players on the ice next Friday, Sept. 18. The 63 players in attendance will be split into two groups (A & B), and those groups will be released at a later date. Group A will get things started at 9:30 a.m. on the 18th at Sharks Ice in San Jose.
Also, the first media availability of the new year will be on the 18th, giving fans the opportunity to hear from their favorite Sharks players for the first time.
San Jose will have 38 forwards, 19 defensemen and six goaltenders throughout training camp. The two teams will host an intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 11:50 a.m. The Sharks will take on the Vancouver Canucks in back-to-back games on Sept. 21 and 22 in Vancouver to kick off the preseason portion of their schedule.
San Jose Sharks fans will get a chance to meet a majority of the players on Saturday, Sept. 12 as the Sharks will host their second annual Fan Fest.
